    Police presence outside Lowe’s Home Improvement in Greensboro

    Greensboro police said they received several calls about an armed man who ran inside the store. Rayvon Juriel Barrett was arrested a short time later. GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro Lowe’s Home Improvement is open again after someone entered the store with a gun, forcing an evacuation.  Police responded to the East Cone Boulevard store Wednesday afternoon.  Police arrested the suspect, 23-year-old Rayvon Juriel Barrett, shortly after.  No one was hurt. Barrett is facing several charges, including going armed to the terror of people, possession of firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer, and carrying a concealed weapon.     A Las Vegas Valley man has been charged with running a real estate investment scheme that Henderson police say relied on forged documents to steal more than $2 million from an investor. Kory Scheeler, 60, was booked at the Clark County Detention Center Thursday. A Henderson police arrest warrant obtained Friday by the Las Vegas Review-Journal shows Scheeler is charged in Henderson Justice Court with felony theft after a real estate investor, who’s name was blacked out in the warrant, went to police in March 2021 to allege that Scheeler scammed him. “Mr. Scheeler intends to plead not guilty and fight the charges,” Scheeler’s defense attorney, Russell Marsh, said Friday.…
