The perfect garden design starts with you. It is based on personal likes and dislikes. It can be whimsical, abstract, geometrical, practical, vibrant or soothing or a combination of elements. What matters is that you are drawn into your surroundings with a peace in your soul. A garden should be a place where you long to be – “To thine own self be true.” (Act 1 Scene 3, “Hamlet,”William Shakespeare) Designing and maintaining gardens for many years has taught me a great deal through trial and error.
