Architecture and interior design professionals from around the country selected the top finalists in 29 categories in San Antonio Magazine’s first Home & Design Awards, presented by Keller Williams. The 75 finalist entries represent work completed between September 2018 and August 2020 by 30 area firms. One final category remains to be judged. Readers will select the Best Overall Home by voting online for one of the finalists of the home architecture and interior design categories. Voting is open now through Jan. 29 at sanantoniomag.com/besthomevoting.
The winners will be published in the April 2021 issue of San Antonio Magazine and announced at a virtual awards ceremony to be held in March. Details of the event will be released soon.
Topping the list with 10 finalist selections is Ford Powell & Carson. CKC Custom Homes has seven finalist nominations, The Galeana Group has six, and JMSarchitects, Styleberry Creative Interiors, and Younique Designs each have four. Eleven other firms are finalists for more than one entry.
Judges of the competition included Netflix’s Queer Eye interior design guru Bobby Berk, HGTV star Nicole Curtis, interior designers Allison Crawford, Kayla Cooper, Barrie Spang, and Lee Starke, as well as architects Brad Engelsman and Kinley Puzey.
