The ongoing Spring Dispatch Home & Garden show is highlighting gardens featuring the most popular pandemic travel destination of all — your own backyard.
Six unique gardens offer up the fragrance of spring and celebrate the best of outdoor living amid captivating backyard getaways. Guests will see the exemplary work of central Ohio landscape designers and get ideas about how their own yards could be transformed.
Today’s featured garden is High Hammock by Five Seasons Landscape Management.
The display features an elevated two-person hammock perched above a patio and dining area. Below the hammock is a grill counter, constructed from recycled wood pallets, as is the fence on the garden’s perimeter. Other features of the design include low-voltage lighting and evergreen trees.
Events take place inside the Bricker Building at the Ohio Expo Center through March 14 (closed Monday).
Today’s hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; timed tickets available for 10 a.m. to noon, noon to 3 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m.
New parking entrance: The new parking entrance is at 561 E. 11th Ave. Guests cannot enter from 17th Avenue. Parking is $5 per vehicle.
Of note: Tickets to the show will not be sold on-site. Sunday’s admission tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children. When guests purchase their adult tickets for a timed entry of 3 to 6 p.m., they will receive one free ticket to the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium.
Food and beverage concessions will be closed for safety.
