Lucy Mecklenburgh renovates Roman’s playroom and ‘feels just like Stacey Solomon’

Lucy Mecklenburg has been channelling her inner Stacey Solomon to create an incredible play area for her young son.

The 29-year-old former The Only Way Is Essex star is proud mum to one-year-old Roman who she shares with fiancé, and former Corrie star, Ryan Thomas, 36.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Lucy shared photos and videos of the play room she renovated for her young son.

And outlining all of the decoration points to her fans, Lucy confessed she was feeling inspired by fellow TV star Stacey, 31, who has been tirelessly renovating her own forever home in recent weeks.

Lucy showed fans the baby-friendly room she had created for her young son online.

Roman’s room includes lots of storage space, animal print decorations, a rug featuring images of animals, and plenty of soft toys.

She joked online: ”Wall stickers – never felt more Stacey Solomon in my life.

“Very out of my comfort zone. What could go wrong, right?”

She also gave fans her top tip for designing a child’s room.

She said: ”When I first started planning this play area, the key thing for me was storage.

“But not too much that it overpowered the space because it’s a small space and I wanted him to have room to play and the soft play toys.”

Fans of Stacey Solomon will already know the Loose Women star has been enthusiastically upgrading the country home she is transforming for herself, fiancé Joe Swash, and their four children.

The TV star delighted fans last week by sharing videos and photos of the first room to be completed in her huge renovation project – the bedroom for her youngest son, Rex.
