Howey-in-the-Hills is celebrating their 96th Founder’s Day with a citrus festival, Mount Dora is showcasing their best cuisine with their Mount Dora Taste festival and Lake County’s Home and Garden Expo will offer all the expert tips you’ll need to beautify your home inside and out.

On Friday, grab a blanket or chairs and enjoy a family-friendly movie under the stars at Clermont Waterfront Park, 330 3rd St. in Clermont beginning at 8 p.m.

Howey Founder’s Day Citrus Festival
The 96th annual Howey Founder’s Day Citrus Festival commences on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Howey Mansion, 1001 Citrus Ave in Howey-in-the-Hills.
The event will include more than 30 vendors, food trucks, pony rides and mansion tours as you learn all about Howey’s history with a display from the historical society. .

Home & Garden Expo of Lake County
Pick the brain of experts and home vendors at the Home & Garden Expo of Lake County hosted at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 2101 County Road 452 in Eustis, on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Get some remodeling ideas, decorating tips, gardening and plant advice with live demonstrations.
Admission is $5 per person, children 5 and under is free.

Dinner & Interactive Mystery Show
Sunsational Farms, 40541 Roger Giles Road in Umatilla, is hosting a special dinner and interactive mystery show on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
This outdoor event includes a three-course dinner with choice of smoked pulled pork platter, meat lasagna or grilled chicken tenderloins and a mystery show.

Derby Day on the Farm
Make this year’s Kentucky Derby Day extra fun with an afternoon at Lil’ Bit of Life, 2920 Robie Ave. in Mount Dora. On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., enjoy a farm tour and meet and greet with farm friends and a complimentary mint julep, for those 21 and older.

The 20th Annual Mount Dora Taste & Craft Beer Fest happens on Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. in downtown Mount Dora, 230 W 4th Ave.
This outdoor event will feature their finest local restaurants, unique craft beers, fabulous wines, live music and a silent auction.

Free Kid’s Food Forest Adventure
Every Saturday in the month of May, Momma G Farms, 36815 Leslye Ln. in Eustis, will be hosting a free Kid’s Food Forest Adventure at 9 a.m.
Each event will allow ten children and include a tour through the food forest while teaching them about gardens. They will be allowed to harvest, visit the chicken coop and plant a seed.

Cruisin’ Couples Classic Car Show
Enjoy a beach party, car show and a Beach Boys tribute concert on Saturday at the Cruisin’ Couples Classic Car Show at Ferran Park in Eustis from noon to 4 p.m.
See the ROTC opening ceremony at high noon with the National Anthem and a WWII Missing Man flyover. Then enjoy a Beach Boys tribute concert and see the classic cars.
Registrations is from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Cost is $20 enter the car show, $25 the day of the show. Event admission is free.
