Home Bargains set to open new Droitwich store with garden centre

Home Bargains has revealed what customers can expect when it’s new, £6million store opens in Worcestershire this weekend.

The chain is creating 75 new jobs in the region with its store in Roman Way Retail Park in Droitwich, which is opening 8am on Saturday, December 5.

It says in total, the store will employ 83 team members, including some staff and management who will be transferring from other stores.

The 24,509 sq ft store, which is a brand-new unit built on the site of a former Homebase store, is adjacent to Aldi and DFS, and will offer customers a range of products, including homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks, as well as fresh and frozen food.

The new store will also come with its own garden centre – GardenWorld at Home Bargains – which will provide a range of plants, soils and garden décor.

Jack Jelicic, the new Droitwich store manager, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening our new store in Droitwich this Saturday and look forward to welcoming customers through its doors.”

“Having worked for Home Bargains for over 10 years, I have to say opening the store this Saturday will be one of my proudest accomplishments.

“Roman Way Retail Park will be a great location for us and we’re proud to be able to offer local people top-branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
