HOME AND GARDEN SHOW SET FOR EARLY MARCH

The Umpqua Homebuilders Association will have the 2021 Home & Garden Show in early March at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

A release said the HBA is working closely with fairgrounds staff in order to provide a safe platform for businesses in the community, following recommendations and best practices from the Oregon Health Authority. The release said in hosting the event, the group wants to deliver a clear message by supporting and adopting the practice of safe socializing. Participants and attendee will be required to wear masks at the show, and practice social distancing wherever possible.

The show will take outdoors as well as in the facility’s two biggest buildings – Douglas Hall and the Exhibit Building. Each vendor will be appropriately spaced from each other and will be expected to operate with effective safety precautions during the show.

The event is scheduled for Friday March 5th through Sunday March 7th. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Admission will be $5 or $4 with 2 cans of food to help Feeding Umpqua. Veterans and seniors age 65 or older will get in free on Sunday.
