This team member will be the lead designer on all New South Home projects that include custom builds, remodels, spec houses, and kitchen and bath remodels.

• Develop design plans that are reflective of client’s personal style and needs within set budget constraints
• Work directly with clients and builders to:
-Design and develop layouts for any kitchen, bath, or bar spaces to better suit the needs of the client and/or be more in line with how people live today
-Select all interior finishes as needed
-Select exterior finishes as needed
-Create architectural interest in key places to set home design apart
• Communicate to client when goals or selections are outside of budget and provide alternative solutions as needed
• Develop and execute a standard NSH finish schedule and communication system for contractors and builders to successfully complete projects based on NSH design plan
• Utilize CAD for layouts and wall elevations when needed and include with finish schedule
• Strategize and execute changes to plans as needed due to stock or price issues on initial selections.
Communicate changes and strategy to clients, builders and contractors as needed.
• Develop strong positive relationships with builders, clients, contractors, subs and vendors ensure success of all projects:
-Meet with vendors and clients at showrooms as needed to make finish selections
-Meet with builders, contractors and subs as needed to communicate design plan and goals. Attend
drywall, plumbing, electrical and paint walkthroughs as needed.
-Work with vendors to order, track and arrange delivery to any items needed for these projects
• Be the main point of contact for the builders and clients for any questions that arise on the jobsite during the build
• Coordinate with other members on the NSH design team to assist with furnishings and accessories selections for projects that overlap into those categories
• Create proposals on IVY and collect deposits for any items purchased through NSH
• Build NSH business in kitchen and bath design by providing consultations and developing a standard
process in this category
• Assist with Design Associate role on furnishings and accessory projects as needed
• Assist NSH team in any other design or internal business projects as needed
• Provide marketing content for social media – i.e. “in progress” photos or videos
• Travel to KBIS and High Point market with design team when CDC and NSH team deem safe to travel

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design preferred
• 3-5 years of interior design experience, preferably kitchen, bath and custom home design
• Experience working directly with builders, clients and contractors on home builds and remodels
• People and relationship driven

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Mac Operating System, IOS devices, Microsoft Office (specifically Powerpoint) and Google Applications
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other related space planning/rendering programs preferred
• Professional portfolio requested

• Flexible work schedule that includes 2+ days/week work from home. Typical “in office” day is 9:00-3:00 – additional hours are flexible as needed for position
• Personal cell phone, mileage and 1/2 of home internet expenses covered by NSH
• Three weeks PTO equivalent to average hours/week
