Twenty-two years ago, the home owners moved into their magnificent home. Built in 1923, they are only the third owners of this nearly 100-year-old gem. Throughout those twenty-two years, three boys were raised into men and lots of memories were made. Their favorite thing to do is to entertain; rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies and receptions, graduation parties, and many more celebrations have all been hosted here. Seventeen years ago they added the back porch to keep the parties going outside. Mark Dullea designed the outdoor space used frequently for watching football. Graham Kimak was the landscape designer.
Upon entering the home, it feels like a place you have been before. Maybe it was for a party or a great dinner around the kitchen table. It’s clear lots of love and laughter are within these walls. “The way it feels and smells, it’s just home. It just makes me happy,” says the homeowner. One of her sons loves the house so much he wrote a paper in college titled, “On the Dinner Table” which was all about the conversations and enjoyment that he had growing up, eating at the table with friends and family.
No decor could be as valuable as the unforgettable memories and great family photos inside the Watson’s residence. Any parent’s dream is to own a storybook home like this.
