15 things you’ll find in gypsy homes that set us apart from common folk – including posh kitchen decoration we can’t use
A TRAVELLER has shared the 15 things you’ll find in a gypsy household.
From a Henry hoover to the kitchen item that mustn’t be touched, a gypsy girl called Suzy has revealed the stereotypical items you can expect to find in her household.
Posting on social media, Suzy, who is known online as ‘Cuzin Suzy’ gave her followers a close-up look at her home.
She said: “Things you will normally find in a gypsy/traveller household.”
First things first, in her kitchen, like many travellers, you can expect to find Smeg appliances, Champagne bottles for decoration and china items from MacKenzie.
She added: “Smeg. The gypsies and travellers love the Smeg.
“Champagne and Prosecco bottles out as decoration.
“MacKenzie. More MacKenzie. And more MacKenzie.
“Dinner sets. These are not to be used. These are for decoration purposes only.”
Not only this, but Suzy also explained that many gypsies will have flowers, cushions and a variety of other decor items throughout their home, as she continued: “Flowers, everywhere. And I mean everywhere.
“Cushions. Not to be used but for decoration.
“Crown Derby, bibles, ladies.”
As well as this, Suzy explained that many gypsies will have plastic on their furniture and rugs in their kitchen, as she claimed: “Plastic on the furniture. The plastic helps the furniture not get ruined by the feral children they have.
“[Curtain] helmets. Waterford and cut glass.
“Washable rugs. Towels nobody is allowed to use.”
Suzy, who regularly shares cleaning videos online, also revealed the cleaning essentials that many travellers will have in their homes, as she concluded: “A cupboard full of Spanish cleaning products. And I mean full.
“A Henry hoover. Joyo buckets.”
At the time of writing, the TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @cuzinsuzy92, had been live for just one day, but had clearly left many totally stunned, as it had quickly racked up a staggering 382,400 views.
One person said: “I absolutely love learning about your culture! Love seeing new ways of living.”
Another added: “Beautiful home. Love love the Royal Doulton.”
Whilst a third claimed: “I guess I’m a gypsy!”
